Adobe launches AI Assistant beta in Acrobat
News|by Leanne Bevan|27 February 2024
Since 2023, AI has been everywhere. And many are seeing it as a great tool for improving productivity which many businesses need for improved efficiency to manage high workloads.
Adobe has now developed its own AI tool, AI Assistant, currently available in beta in Adobe Acrobat, their PDF document services tool.
What can you do with Adobe AI Assistant?
The Adobe AI Assistant enables you to interact with your document on the desktop or web app for quick answers and one-click summaries. You can then use those insights to create better content and increase your productivity.
How can different departments and role functions use Adobe AI Assistant?
Those that need to handle and streamline Request For Proposal (RFP) response processes can do so by eliminating the need for time-consuming document reviews. AI Assistant allows you to extract crucial information from complex documents so you can complete RFPs more quickly.
Business and finance departments can get a better understanding of complicated business documents. Leverage AI Assistant’s capabilities to navigate financial documents, grasp key concepts and terminologies, and make more informed decision-making for upcoming meetings and strategic planning.
If you work in education, teachers can use AI Assistant to prepare the class for their readings and create a teaching guide with essential elements such as setting, characters, and themes – then add your own information to make it bespoke.
Business analysts can use AI Assistant to extract insights, then copy the content over to an email to distribute to their teams – making report summary creation easy by saving time and increasing productivity.
Those in the finance department can analyse earnings reports in no time. You can review financial earnings statements to get a clear picture of the business. You can even ask AI Assistant to write an email summarising the report and update your teams in a lot less time than before.
Adobe AI Assistant can even be used to send out meeting notes in much less time. The tool can review meeting transcripts, then be asked to draft an email summary with key takeaways. You can then send this information to your team so everyone’s on the same page and you can focus on other important tasks.
Are there any costs?
Yes. Acrobat and Acrobat Reader customers will have access to the full range of AI Assistant capabilities through a new add-on subscription plan when AI Assistant is Generally Available (GA). Until then, the new AI Assistant features are available in beta for Acrobat Standard and Pro Individual and Teams subscription plans on desktop and web as well as the Acrobat Pro trial at no additional cost. A private beta is available for enterprise customers.
