Rider 2024.3 offers support for .NET9, including C# 13 enhancements as params collections, partial properties, and the preview field keyword. The Windows Forms Designer is now available for .NET 6+ projects, along with an advanced debugging capability to freeze and unfreeze individual threads. Game developers will be happy to see console debugging for Unreal Engine, IL2CPP debugging for Unity, and improved Godot support. Rider 2024.3 also brings expanded AI Assistant functionality, including in-editor AI prompts and customisable chat models. PyCharm is a Python IDE that provides smart code completion, code inspections, on-the-fly error highlighting and quick fixes, along with automated code refactorings and rich navigation capabilities.

PyCharm’s huge collection of tools out of the box includes an integrated debugger and test runner; Python profiler; a built-in terminal; integration with major VCS and built-in database tools; remote development capabilities with remote interpreters; an integrated ssh terminal; and integration with Docker and Vagrant.

PyCharm integrates with Python Notebook, has an interactive Python console, and supports Anaconda as well as multiple scientific packages including Matplotlib and NumPy.

PyCharm 2024.3.2 introduces support for uv package and environment management, enabling you to create new environments from scratch or use a new environment type option to apply uv to existing ones. CLion 2024.3 marks another significant milestone for language engine, CLion Nova. This considerably improved version comes packed with some highly requested features and is ready for most use cases. CLion Nova is also now the default for new users.

There are also many other features and fixes to enhance your development experience. Such as debug servers and support for native Zephyr West debugging, an OpenCV image viewer and the ability to attach the debugger to an unstarted process.

Additionally, the new version offers reduced memory usage for CLion Nova, an Open CV image viewer, a new Debug Servers configuration option and more.

ReSharper is a Visual Studio productivity .NET extension for enhanced and better-quality coding.

ReSharper 2024.3 introduces support for C#13 features, including params collections, partial properties, a new lock type, and the field keyword. The update enhances code cleanup with improved performance and flexible formatting options and adds more precise naming conventions. Multiline To-do comments and tooltip colorization improve code readability and organisation. C++ support has been bolstered with new features for Unreal Engine development, alongside improvements to performance and Clang interoperability.

Code With Me is a collaborative development and pair programming service. Bundled with most of the latest JetBrains IDEs, you can now share a project with others, and work on it together, in real time.

In the latest update, the user interface (UI) has been redesigned, and certain menu actions have been renamed. Additionally, TURN server support is now enabled by default, allowing for a relay connection if direct host-guest connection is not possible. Code With Me is now compatible with Android Studio Electric Eel, and the missing debug options are now supported. Bugs have been fixed to ensure that icons are displayed without delay, and Gradle logs are now correctly shown on the host’s machine. Furthermore, source navigation in the Run tool window functions as expected. Users are encouraged to download the latest update to access these improvements and fixes.

YouTrack 2025.1 comes with several new features. The most notable feature is the introduction of a new navigation panel, which replaces the YouTrack main menu. This new panel makes all of the key YouTrack sections more accesisble, reducing clicks and helping you to get where you need faster.

Additionally, YouTrack now allows you to switch between filter mode and query mode for your searches, a new and improved issues sidebar helps you to focus on the work at hand, giving you easy access to your projects, saved searches, and tags and project hierarchy paths help you to remain in the context of the project you’re working with.

TeamCity 2024.12 has introduced several new features that make configuring builds easier. These include major UI changes, which lay the groundwork for the integration of TeamCity and TeamCity Pipelines. This will give TeamCity users the option of creating a streamlined Pipeline for quick setups, or a fully customisable build configuration for advanced scenarios.

Additionally, TeamCity now offers the option to offload your Builds to Kubernetes, centralised, refreshable token management, pull request filters, the ability to approve multiple builds at once and more.

DataSpell integrates with Jupyter Notebook to combine the interactive nature of Jupyter Notebook with the benefits of the most intelligent Python IDE. In addition to the built-in Python coding assistance, you can also install a plugin that adds R support.

With DataSpell 2024.3 the new JetBrains Data Wrangler simplifies data cleaning and preparation, automating tasks that take up to an average of 30-40% of the total time spent working with data. Datalore 2025.1 introduces a new Welcome screen to simplify onboarding, and help you get started with tutorials, your first data connection, and create a notebook. While a redesigned admin panel for On-Premises installations improves overall user experience, and makes managing users, resources, environments and other settings much easier. Lastly, the ability to import workspaces from Git repositories offers easy access and execution in a convenient environment and can prove useful for educational purposes.

DataGrip is a database IDE that is tailored to suit the specific needs of professional SQL developers.

It is designed to query, create, and manage databases. Databases can work locally, on a server, or in the cloud. Supports MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and more. If you have a JDBC driver, add it to DataGrip, connect to your DBMS, and start working.

DataGrip 2024.3 introduces new AI Assistant features to improve user experience, new options when working with data, new code editor features and more.

When handling SQL query execution errors with AI Assistant, each error message will now show two actions: Explain with AI and Fix with AI. This gives you the option of receiving an explanation of the error, or generating a fix for the query execution error. The experience of working with AI Assistant in the editor has also received some improvements. Now, when you ask AI Assistant to do something with a chunk of code, you’ll be shown both the original and generated code, with AI Assistants suggestions highlighted and marked with the Revert button in the gutter.

The latest version of DataGrip also features new options when working with data, including a floating pagination toolbar to make grid paging more noticeable in the data editor, and a wider in-editor results grid, automatically adjusting to the full width of your editor allowing you to view more data. DataGrip has also added code editor improvements and connectivity features to improve user experience.
