Broadcom acquisition of Symantec and licensing updates
News|by Leanne Bevan|4 February 2020
On 4 November 2019, Broadcom acquired Symantec Enterprise Business. They have since been working on integrating the business in order to meet customer Enterprise Security requirements.
Broadcom is experiencing some backlog in the processing of maintenance renewals but has said that you can rest assured that your business continuity is top of their priority list. They are doing everything they can to ensure that you have uninterrupted access to the technology and support that you need at this time.
In light of this, Broadcom is extending maintenance or subscription licences that have an expiry date between 2 October 2019 and 28 February 2020. These licences and support will continue to be enabled without any disruption of any type of service, and with no additional action required from your side.
In the next few weeks, Broadcom expects to be able to reduce the backlog, and we (Grey Matter), your reselling partner, will be able to renew your maintenance.
