RAD Studio Nov 2020 Roadmap
Blog|by Leanne Bevan|3 December 2020

Embarcadero has released the latest RAD Studio product roadmap that highlights what the product team are working on, ready for the upcoming quality and major releases over the next 12 months. The improvements we’ll see are influenced by industry trends/changes and customer feedback.
RAD Studio 10.4 and 10.4.1 Sydney were released this year. They have been very popular and received favourable reviews by the customers. Embarcadero has even noted that it’s received more downloads than the previous 10.2 and 10.3 versions. This is particularly impressive considering these launched in and around the COVID-19 pandemic. So, therefore, it will be exciting to see what’s to come with the next quality and major releases in 2021.
Focus areas and expected features for 2021*
The first half of 2021 will see some platform, user experience and quality improvements within 10.4.2. For instance, new VCL native controls, migration tool enhancements and multi-tier and cloud integration improvements.
The second half of the year will see the likely release of 10.5 with significant advancements to Delphi and C++ including Delphi language extensions, a new C++ Win64 Linker and Visual Assist support for C++Builder.

We are really glad to see that Embarcadero is putting a focus on C++ enhancements. Many of our C++ developers have been waiting for this.
