Microsoft Bing Maps available for Android and iOS
News|7 May 2019
In time for Build 2019, the Microsoft developer event this year held in Seattle, Microsoft has announced that the Bing Maps SDK for Android and iOS is now available for public preview.
Bing Maps SDK for Android and iOS features new controls powered by a full vector 3D map engine with a number of standard mapping capabilities running with native performance. Included are the standard features for a map control, plus the same 3D Native support from Windows UWP control. Add dimension to both road and aerial views with worldwide 3D elevation data (via Digital Elevation Model). In addition, add context to road maps with symbolic 3D buildings. If 3D is not needed for your scenario, a standard Web Mercator projection is supported.
With the new Bing Maps controls for Android and iOS, it’s now possible to create maps with similar look and feel across web, Windows, and mobile.
